JKX Recompletes NN-71 Well in Ukraine
JKX Oil & Gas announced that well NN-71 in the NovoNikolaevskoye field in Ukraine has been successfully recompleted to the Visean V-15 sandstone reservoir.
“Following a three stage test, the well is producing at a stabilised rate of 4.3 MMcfd of gas and 342 bpd of condensate through a 93/64" choke with a flowing wellhead pressure of 625 psi,” reads the note released by the company on Thursday.
According to JKX, the results indicate the reservoir has good pressure support and early indications suggest that the remaining hydrocarbons in place could support the addition of a flank well.
“The success of this recompletion indicates that the continued efforts by our subsurface teams in Poltava and London to update our data and understanding in these complex structures can yield valuable results," commented JKX’s Chief Executive Paul Davies.
Earlier this month, JKX Oil & Gas announced production for the second quarter of 2013 in line with the expectations. JKX is a UK-based exploration company with interests in Ukraine, Russia, Hungary and Slovakia.
