Jogmec to Help Thai PTTEP Improve Field Productivity

Japan Oil, Gas and Metals National Corporation (Jogmec) signed a memorandum of understanding with Thai PTTEP March 8 for collaboration on developing new technologies to enhance oil and gas development and production efficiency, Jogmec said March 23.

PTTEP has agreed to conduct joint studies with Jogmec, aiming to improve efficiency in the development and production of its owned and operated oil and gas fields. In particular, PTTEP is interested in technology development in the area of reservoir monitoring, which would speed up development and enhance field production, Jogmec said.

Jogmec, a government entity, has been enhancing its relationships with oil producing countries by developing new technologies and proposing solutions to address different technical challenges faced by national oil companies as well as international oil companies through technical solutions projects and working together with Japanese companies since 2013.
