Jordan Government to Finance Aqaba LNG Project
Jordan’s cabinet on Wednesday agreed on an Economic Development Committee recommendation that the government be a stakeholder in a new Aqaba port project and finance a liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal project, Petra news reported.
The government would inject JD 20 million ($28 million) into the Aqaba Development Company to finance the LNG terminal project. Construction on the project is expected to start this year, Petra reported.
