JXNOE, Shell Ink LNG Deal
JX Nippon Oil & Energy has signed a deal to buy 3.4m tonnes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) over 17 years from Shell Eastern Trading.
Shell Eastern Trading is a Singapore-based subsidiary of Anglo-Dutch energy major Shell.
Under the deal, JX Nippon Oil will receive three LNG cargoes from Shell with a combined volume of 200,000 tonnes on an annual basis, starting April 2015, the Japanese energy firm said in a statement.
The cargoes will be delivered to Hachinohe LNG terminal and to Mizushima LNG terminal, the company said.
