Kenya and Uganda have reviewed their tax policies in a bid to streamline the operations of oil and gas companies.  

Kenya will harmonise withholding tax for training and contractual services for exploring oil and other minerals, while Uganda has extended VAT refunds for upstream activities in exploration and development.
