24.kg: Kyrgyzstan-China gas pipeline transit to start in 2016
Transit of natural gas through "Kyrgyzstan - China" gas pipeline will start in 2016. Told this to The Kyrgyz Minister of Energy and Industry Osmonbek Artykbayev told journalists.
According to him, the total cost of the project is about $1.5 billion. "Discharge capacity - 30 billion cubic meters of gas. The pipeline's length through its territory - 215 kilometers. For 30 years Kyrgyzstan will receive about $2.5 billion for transit," the Minister said.
Earlier on, Osmonbek Artykbayev said that Kyrgyzstan does not take credit, but only rents land for use of "Turkmenistan - Uzbekistan - Tajikistan - Kyrgyzstan - China" pipeline. Pipe will pass through Karamyk-Chon-Alai.
Note, Representatives of the Ministry of Energy and Industry of Kyrgyzstan and Chinese National Petroleum Corporation signed up a memorandum on establishment of a coordination committee on implementation of the agreement between the Kyrgyz Republic and China on cooperation in the construction and operation of "Kyrgyzstan - China" gas pipeline, signed on September 11, 2013, in Bishkek.
