Lamprell Wins Contract at Saudi Field
London-listed Lamprell has won an engineering, procurement, construction and installation contract from Saudi Aramco at the Marjan oil and gas project off Saudi Arabia's east coast, it said in a stock filing on February 24.
The contract's scope covers two offshore production deck modules and associated pipeline and subsea cables. Lamprell said the deal was large but did not disclose its exact value.

Marjan, consisting of the Marjan, Lawhah, Maharah and Hamur fields, is one of the largest upstream projects in the region and also among its oldest, having entered production back in the 1970s. Aramco announced a major expansion of the field in 2017, aimed at boosting its crude output by 300,000 barrels/day and its gas supply by 2.5bn ft3 (71mn m3)/d.
The contract is Lamprell's first from Aramco under a long-term agreement programme the pair entered into in 2018.
"Our team has been working closely with Saudi Aramco over the past few months and we look forward to strengthening our partnership through this project," Lamprell CEO Christopher McDonald said. "The award reinforces our commitment to our strategy and we look forward to working on further opportunities in the region."
