Natural Gas Americas: LNG Exports might not Impact U.S. Gas Prices - Rice University Study

A study by Rice University’s Baker Institute for Public Policy indicates that the prospect of LNG exports from the U.S. does note equate to large scale reality, regardless of the number of export licenses granted, given expected market developments abroad.

In a paper entitled “US LNG Exports: Truth and Consequence”, Kenneth Medlock III, a Baker Institute fellow and Rice adjunct economics professor, wrote that LNG exports might not boost U.S. gas prices as much as some other observers and studies already have suggested.  MORE
