Merged Oman LNG, Qalhat LNG to Start Operations
Oman LNG and Qalhat LNG have merged and will jointly start operations on Sunday, according to Oman Tribune.
The merger will boost the Sultanate’s revenues from LNG exports by reducing cost of operations and offering better management of swaps and diversions of cargoes while maintaining a reliable supply of LNG cargoes, the newspaper said.
“The successful integration of Oman LNG and Qalhat LNG that formally begins on Sunday, marks the commencement of a new era for our nation’s LNG industry,” said HE Dr Mohammed Bin Hamad Al Rumhy, Minister of Oil and Gas and Chairman of Oman LNG.
