Faroe Makes Minor Gas Find in Norway

Norway's upstream regulator reported a small gas discovery November 23
In the North Sea, Faroe Petroleum is concluding wildcat well (30/6-30) on PL825, 25km north of the Oseberg field centre and 150km northwest of Bergen.

Preliminary estimates are that the minor gas/condensate discovery

made is between 0.4mn and 2.7 million m3 of recoverable oil equivalents, which NPD said is not believed to be currently profitable. Licensees will assess if it and other finds/prospects nearby can be followed up. It is the first well drilled on PL825, which was awarded in the APA 2015 round.
