Mitsubishi inks Egypt CCGT services pact
Japan's Mitsubishi Power has signed three 16-year service agreements covering six M701F gas turbines for three gas-fired power plants in Egypt, it said on June 4. Two of the turbines have already been delivered.
The Sidi Krir, El Atf and Cairo North plants run on combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) generators each with a rated output of 750 MW. Mitsubishi Power will provide maintenance, management, parts supply, parts repair and remote monitoring services for the turbines.

Mitsubishi Power said that the upgrade and rehabilitation process of the Sidi Krir and El Atf power plants is 80% complete and is expected to be fully completed by November 2021.
The upgrade to the Cairo North plant was completed in May 2019, and is now in operation with improved efficiency and output, the company said.
