Mitsubishi Power inks MoU for European hydrogen projects
Norway's HydrogenPro, France's H2V Industry and Japan's Mitsubishi Power have entered into an MoU forming a consortium that will develop green industrial hydrogen projects in Europe, they said on May 27.
“This MoU will form a long-term partnership, combining the value proposition and expertise of H2V Industry, HydrogenPro and Mitsubishi Power Europe supporting the European and French initiatives to reach the decarbonisation goals,” the companies said. “Through this MoU the consortium partners will develop and deliver large scale hydrogen projects, including currently on-going projects.”

H2V Industry will take on a lead role in the development phase, whereas HydrogenPro and Mitsubishi Power Europe will work on the design, engineering, system and components, as well as procurement.
The current projects are founded on HydrogenPro's 100-MW high pressure modular system. The partnership will also establish schemes to provide significant European supply content. "An investigation has been started to determine European sourcing, manufacturing and/or assembly in France," they said.
Meanwhile, in a separate statement issued on May 25, Mitsubishi Power said it had established a gas turbine combined cycle business unit in Europe. The new business unit will focus on the sale of the J-Series air cooled gas turbines.
