Myanmar Signs Oil, Gas Exploration Contract With Chinese JV

Myanmar's state oil and gas company has inked an exploration contract with a Chinese-Myanmar joint venture.

Local media reports suggest that Myanma Oil and Gas Enterprise and a JV between Aye Myint Khine Co. Ltd. and China's EPI Holdings Ltd. have signed an agreement for exploration of onshore exploration block in the Magway region of central Myanmar.

The South East Asian nation is conducting exploration activities with local and foreign companies in 49 onshore blocks and 26 offshore blocks.
