Naftogaz Poaches Energy Supply Boss as Gas Head

Integrated gas supplier and transmission system operator Naftogaz Ukrainy has appointed Andriy Favorov to run its integrated gas production, supply and trading businesses, the state-owned company said November 28.

Favorov was, until recently, the head of Energy Resources of Ukraine and he is selling his stake to his partners to avoid any conflict of interests, he said. He was also a former chief commercial officer at DTEK Energy holding from September 2010 to July 2014.

Naftogaz's CEO Andriy Kobolev said that it had to become a client-oriented company offering high quality services to its customers. "We decided to reinforce our team with a high-profile expert from the private sector," he said.
