Lithuania Tribune: NATO energy security centre to be officially opened in Vilnius

Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaitė and NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen will officially open the NATO Energy Security Centre of Excellence in Vilnius on Friday.

Presidential adviser on foreign policy issues Mindaugas Žičkus said during an interview with the radio station ‘Žinių Radijas’ on Tuesday that the centre, in the President’s words, will be of benefit for the whole Alliance.

“The centre will be opened on 6 September by President Grybauskaitė and the NATO secretary general. Six NATO member countries are already taking part in the centre’s activities, and we hope that their number will grow,” Žičkus said.  MORE
