New Zealand Invites Nominations for Block Offer 2014

New Zealand Petroleum & Minerals has said that it is inviting nominations for next year's petroleum Block Offer 2014. Last date of nomination is 28 June 2013.

Interested parties would invited to nominate an area (block, basin or sub-basin) for possible inclusion in Block Offer 2014, or any future block offer, it said in a statement.

Nominations should be on the basis of prospectivity and nominators are encouraged to provide evidence that demonstrates prospectivity of any area nominated, the statement said.

Before finalising areas for tender, New Zealand Petroleum & Minerals will consult with iwi and councils on areas proposed to be included in Block Offer 2014.

Permits as part of Block Offer 2014 will be tendered and awarded in 2014.
