National Grid Promotes Interim to CFO
National Grid has appointed Andy Agg as its new finance chief and a management board member with effect from January 1 2019, the UK infrastructure operator announced December 12.
He has been interim CFO since July 2018, prior to which he was the group's UK CFO before becoming the group's tax and treasury director in 2016.
"Andy stepped into the role on an interim basis following Andrew Bonfield stepping down in July. I warmly welcome him to the Board of National Grid," said its chairman Peter Gershon, while CEO John Pettigrew added: "I am personally delighted that he has now been formally appointed to the role."
National Grid owns and operates Britain's main power and gas transmission systems, the Grain LNG import terminal near London, and power networks in the northeast US.
In other news, the UK government said Dec.12 it had appointed John Crackett as a non-executive director of energy regulator Ofgem. He has been a non-exec board member of the UK Office for Nuclear Regulation since July 2011. Before that he was managing director of Central Networks – the UK’s second-largest distributor of electricity - and also an E.ON UK board member.
