Guardian News: Nigeria LNG rallies investors for new dockyard in Lagos
Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG) Limited has concluded plans to build a multi-billion dollar dockyard in the country.
To achieve this, the company has reached out to the investment community— representatives of banks and other financial institutions— promoting the potential for a new dockyard in the country.
The dockyard, which would be located in Badagry, was sequel to the conclusion of feasibility studies by Royal HaskoningDHV, an independent, international engineering and project management consultancy headquartered in the Netherlands.
A statement signed by the General Manager, External Relations Division, NLNG, Kudo Eresia-Eke, said the studies came as one of the benefits of NLNG’s $1.6 billion contract with shipbuilders, Samsung Heavy Industries and Hyundai Heavy Industries, for the building of six new vessels.
