North Korea Committed to Russia, South Korea Pipeline

North Korea has reaffirmed its commitment to building a pipeline to transport Russian natural gas through North Korea and into South Korea.

This message was conveyed by Russia’s Minister of Energy Sergei Shmatko to South Korea’s Ambassador to Russia on Thursday in Moscow. 

Shmatko said that the most important issue pertaining to the pipeline is price negotiations for the gas that will be transported. 

Last August, North Korean agreed to a trilateral agreement on building the pipeline.
