Norwegian Gas Output Rises in Jan

Norway produced 366.5mn m³/day of gas in January, on average, which was up 2.2%, or 8mn m³/day on the December 2017 total, the petroleum directorate said February 21. It was also up by 5%, or 17.2mn m³/d, compared with the forecast. The total was however down 1.3% or 4.8mn m³/day, on January 2017 production. Last year saw record output, rising in Q4 to meet high prices, and beating the previous year, itself a record, by some 7%.

Nearly all Norwegian gas is exported by pipeline or as LNG, as its own demand - adding up to about 5bn m3/yr -- is limited to some liquefaction for marine bunkering and a few industrial sites.
