Norwegian Output Dips in Sept vs Aug

Norway's gas production in September was 9.6bn m³, down slightly on August's 10.3bn m³ saleable gas production, but up on last year's actual production in September and also up compared with what was forecast for September back in December 2016, according to the offshore regulator, the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate's statement October 19.

So far the figures show an increase on last year, which was a record for gas production, although the forecasts for the rest of this year show forecast production to be lower each month this year than last.

Russian Gazprom is also reporting record figures for exports, although some of its exports to Europe are in fact sales to Ukraine, for which it records zero sales this year and also last. Importers redirect the gas back eastwards, after it has left the Eustream system.
