Norwegian gas supply jumps in Oct
Norwegian gas supply was up 16.2% year on year and 13.3% month on month in October, the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) reported on November 19.
Output averaged 336.4mn m3/day last month, beating the forecast by 1.5%. The growth comes amid soaring gas prices in Europe, driven by robust demand and constrained supply.
Norway's state-owned Equinor has been permitted to ramp up production from the Heidrun gas field, Reuters reported on November 18. In September, the company got approval to boost gas supply from the Troll and Oseberg fields by a combined 2bn m3/year.
Norwegian liquids supply averaged 2.062mn barrels/day in October, up 1.4% month on month and 9.8% year on year, but 1.1% below the forecast.
