Novatek Ships LNG to Brazil

Novatek announced September 24 the shipment of its first LNG cargo to Brazil from Yamal LNG. It was delivered to Petrobras's Bahia regasification terminal.

“Our LNG marketing strategy aims to diversify our supply geography and customer base,” said Novatek CEO Leonid Mikhelson. “This shipment represents our first LNG cargo produced by our own production to the Latin American market, and confirms the viability of our logistical model and unique geographical location of the Yamal LNG project to deliver competitively priced LNG to any part of the world.”

Novatek also increased its management board by two members, adding Eduard Gudkov and Denis Solovyov both of whom will deputise for Mikhelson.
