OGDCL Discovers Gas in Pakistan's Sindh Province
Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) has discovered gas in Sukkur district of Sindh province of Pakistan.
The 100 percent owned Thal West 01 was drilled to the depth of 3,983 metres to test the hydrocarbon potential of Basal Sands of Lower Goru formation, Express Tribune reported Tuesday.
The zone produced 17.2 million standard cubic feet of gas per day (mmscfd) at wellhead flow pressure of 2,820 per square inch (psi).
This is company’s second gas discovery of the year in Sukkur. OGDCL discovered reservoir of 35.7 mmcfd gas in its Thal East-I concession in January.
