Oman Exported 3.8 mt LNG in First Half 2015
Oman exported 3.81 million tons (mt) of LNG during the first six months of this year, Muscat Daily reported Saturday citing Ministry of Oil and Gas data.
Of the total, Oman LNG exported 2.42 mt while Qalhat LNG exported 1.39 mt.
Statistics published by the ministry show that a total of 60 consignments, 39 by Oman LNG and 21 by Qalhat LNG, were shipped, Muscat Daily said.
South Korea, Japan and Spain were the main importers of Omani LNG.
Government of Oman, with 51 percent stake, is the main shareholder in Oman LNG. Other major shareholder is Royal Dutch Shell with 30 percent stake. In Qalhat LNG Government of Oman owns 46.84 percent stake while Oman LNG owns 36.80 percent and Union Fenosa Gas of Spain owns 7.36 percent.
