Orca Energy, Senex Find Gas at Cooper Basin Unconventional Well
Joint venture partners Orca Energy and Senex Energy have delivered 53 metres of net gas pay from the tight gas sands of the southern Cooper Basin as well as 170 metres of shale and coal from their unconventional gas well, Kingston Rule-1.
The well intersected 9 metres of pay in the Epsilon Formation shales and 44 metres in the Patchawarra Formation tight gas sands.
Kingston Rule-1 is located approximately 15 kilometres south east of Senex’s successful unconventional gas exploration well Skipton-1 and approximately six kilometres north west of Senex’s promising Talaq-1 unconventional gas exploration well
Orca has a 20% interest and Senex has the rest.
