Oz East Coast LNG Exports Rise 10% in Nov
LNG exports from projects located on the Australian east coast came to 2.04mn metric tons in November, up 9.7% year on year and up 1.5% month on month, according to the latest data published by Gladstone Ports Corp.
The three projects – the ConocoPhillips-Origin Energy Australia Pacific LNG, Shell’s Queensland Curtis LNG, and the Santos-led Gladstone LNG – shipped 1.62mn mt of LNG to China last month compared with 1.31mn mt a year earlier.
South Korea imported 226,711 mt, down from 364,805 mt, while shipments to Japan came to 66,582 mt, compared with 65,667 mt in the same month last year. Malaysia imported 123,957 mt versus 124,900 mt a year earlier.
