Oz Gladstone LNG Exports to China Surge
Australian LNG exports from the three projects at the Port of Gladstone in Queensland, Australia, to China were at a nine-month high in October while total exports remained strong, data from the Gladstone Ports Corporation (GPC) showed November 7.
China was sent 1.32 million metric tons of LNG from Gladstone in October, which is up by 17% year on year and 26% month on month, it said.

LNG is exported from Gladstone from the ConocoPhillips-Origin Energy Australia Pacific LNG (APLNG) terminal, Shell’s Queensland Curtis LNG and the Santos-led Gladstone LNG project.
The port’s total LNG exports stood at 1.76mn mt in October, showing a 4% lift from a year earlier and was just 1% below the eight-month high set in September of 1.77mn mt, GPC figures showed.
Exports to Malaysia were also strong during the month at an all-time high of 186,182 mt, up 198% year on year and 49% month-on-month, it said.
Exports to South Korea fell sharply to just 119,872 mt in October, down 48% from the year before and 64% lower than September, it said.
Japan was shipped 134,203 mt, down 35% on year and up 5% on month, it said.
