Pakistan Petroleum Finds More Gas in Sindh
Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) has made gas and condensate discovery at its second exploration well Shahdad X-1 located in District Sanghar, Sindh.
This is the second discovery in the block in as many wells, as the first well Wafiq X-1 had also resulted in a gas and condensate discovery.
PPL is the operator of Block 2568-18 (Gambat South) EL with 65 percent working interest along with its joint venture partners Government Holdings (Private) Limited and Asia Resources Oil Limited with 25 percent and 10 percent stake, respectively.
Initial testing in the Massive Sand of Lower Goru Formation flowed 27.8 MMscfd of gas along with 337 barrels per day (bbl/d) condensate, confirming the presence of commercial quantities of natural gas and condensate at Shahdad X-1, PPL said.
