Pakistani OGDCL Strikes Gas in Sindh

Pakistani OGDCL said June 12 it has discovered gas with exploration well Chabaro-01, which is in the district of Khairpur in country’s Sindh province. OGDCL is the operator with 95% interest and Government Holdings has the remaining 5% stake.

The well was drilled down to the depth of 3,674 metres and has tested 15.10mn ft³/d of gas and 20 b/d of condensate.

OGDCL said that the discovery of Chabaro-01 “is the result of aggressive exploration strategy adopted by the company. It has opened up a new avenue and would add hydrocarbon reserves of OGDCL and of the country.”
