Parkmead gets go-ahead for Skerryvore well

UK-focused independent Parkmead has received regulatory permission to drill its first exploration well at the Skerryvore prospects in the central North Sea, it announced September 15.

UK offshore regulator North Sea Transition Authority (NSTA) also sanctioned Parkmead to increase its operating stake in Skerryvore's licence P.2400 from 30% to 50%. Following the announcement, Parkmead intends to activate the next phase of its NSTA licence agreement.

Aside from Parkmead, the other licence partners at P.2400 are CalEnergy (30%) and Serica Energy (20%).
