Pertamina Hulu Finds New Oil, Gas Reserves at West Madura Offshore Block

Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE), a subsidiary of Pertamina, has discovered new oil and gas reserves in the West Madura Offshore (WMO) block in East Java, company said in a statement on its website.

The well is located approximately 13 km south of the field PHE40 and about 5 km south of the Central Processing Platform (CPP), Poleng. The location is about 70 miles off the coast of Bangkalan, Madura. The well was drilled to a depth of 11.000 feet and test flowed 1.650 BOPD and 13 MMSCFD of gas.

The company is aiming to add new oil and gas reserves in the block to increase production. It plans to add two new rigs.

PHE drilled at four exploration wells this year - PHE KE38-2, PHE KE38-3, PHE KE38-5 and PHE KE48-1 - all of which yielded new oil and gas reserves.
