Pertamina's H1 Gas Output Up 16%

Indonesian state-owned energy company Pertamina’s natural gas output in the first half of 2016 was 1,938 million standard cubic feet of gas per day (mmscfd), up 16 percent on year.

Company’s Algerian and Malaysian operations contributed the maximum share of gas production. About 111 mmscfd of natural gas was produced in Algeria while 89 mmscfd came from the Malaysian block.

Company’s oil production was 305,000 barrels of oil per day in January-June, compared to 274,000 barrels per day a year ago, Jakarta Globe reported citing a company statement. The biggest contribution came from Pertamina’s Iraq and Algerian oil blocks. The company is producing oil in Algeria, Iraq and Malaysia.

In total, the company's oil and gas production was up 13 percent at 640,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day between January and June compared to the same period last year.
