Peru’s Gas Output Up 6.9% From 2018 Average
Peru’s natural gas production in the first month of 2019 was 6.9% higher than the 2018 average, PeruPetro, the state agency charged with monitoring the country's oil and gas industry, said February 7.
January production average 37.26mn m3/day, up from the 2018 annual average of 34.85mn m3/day. Privately-owned Pluspetrol and Spain’s Repsol accounted for 35.7mn m3/day, or nearly 96%, of January production.
PeruPetro forecasts natural gas production in the country will average 36.8mn m3/day in 2019, representing a 5.6% increase from the 2018 average.
