Petronas Gas Looking to Build Two New Regasification Terminals
Petronas Gas is expected to complete a feasibility study pertaining to construction of two new regasification terminals by 2014.
The gas unit of Malaysia's Petronas is considering building terminals in Johor in the south and Borneo on Sabah, Dow Jones Newswire quoted Petronas Gas' chairman Anuar Ahmad as saying.
A final investment decision will follow the studies in 2014, Ahmad said on Thursday. The Johor terminal is estimated to cost about 1 billion ringgit ($330 million).
The terminals are needed to meet growing demand for natural gas, Anuar said without giving details of predicted requirements, Dow Jones added.
