The Warsaw Voice: PGNiG heads for German market

Natural gas firm PGNiG's unit for foreign operations, PGNiG Sales&Trading, bought German peer Xool, PGNiG's CFO Slawomir Hinc said.

PGNiG will be working on building its presence on the German wholesale, retail and trading market, Hinc told broadcaster TVN CNBC, commenting on the acquisition.

The unit obtained the German's anti-trust office's approval for the transaction several days ago, Hinc said, adding that thanks to the transaction the firm will be able to supply around 17,000 clients with gas.  MORE
