PGNiG Sees Opportunities in Germany, Austria
Poland’s PGNiG intends to expand in Germany and Austria, seeing room for development in several sectors, ranging from industrial customers to LNG.
PGNiG’s Sales & Trading (PST), a subsidiary of PGNiG, approved its development plans on Thursday, commenting it expect to exponentially increase the number of foreign clients. As said, PST eyes also opportunities in the growing LNG market.
‘Under the adopted concept of development, PST expects an increased involvement in foreign wholesale gas markets, including the international LNG market,’ reads a note release on Thursday.
PST also said it intends to split in two different entities. According to PGNiG, this move would allow one company to focus on final consumers and the second on wholesale trade.
