Pluto LNG Supplies to Start in March
Woodside Petroleum said Thursday it is ready up to start supplying gas from its Pluto LNG project from March as planned.
The Pluto LNG project calls for developing Pluto and Xena gas fields off Karratha in Western Australia and transporting the produced gas to a 4.3 million mt/yr LNG plant constructed on the Burrup Peninsula to process LNG for sale.
Woodside has 90% stake in the project while Kansai Electric Power and Tokyo Gas have 5% each.
Approximately 90% of the produced gas will be received by the Japanese equity holders under 15-year long term supply agreements.
The company has also signed LNG sale and purchase agreement with Asean LNG Trading Co.
