Poland grants Chevron licence to explore for Shale Gas

Poland has granted U.S. oil major Chevron  a concession to search for gas in the southeastern part of the country/ Chevron, the second-largest U.S. oil company, will have five years to explore shale gas in the vicinity of the city of Zamosc.

In the course of the last two years, the ministry has granted 30 such concessions in Poland, to companies such as U.S. oil major Exxon Mobil, Lane Energy and  Marathon Oil.
