Warsaw Voice: Gov't to pump PLN 500m into shale gas R&D projects

The National Centre for Research and Development (NCBiR) and the Industry Development Agency (ARP) announced Wednesday they have signed a deal on setting up a research program on shale gas, to be financed in equal parts by the government and companies.

Under the agreement, the government will provide PLN 500 million to finance R&D projects covering shale gas exploration technology and expects interested companies to put the same amount on the table. Each of the state institutions will provide PLN 250 million.   MORE
