PureWest Energy to supply certified gas to end-user
US Rocky Mountain gas producer PureWest Energy said November 7 it had signed an agreement to supply certified natural gas, at a premium, to a “large west coast end-user.”
Under terms of the one-year agreement, Pure West will supply 30,000mn Btu/day of gas certified as platinum by Project Canary’s Trustwell™ certification process for its low methane attributes. PureWest did not identify the buyer nor the premium that will be paid for the certified gas.
“Environmental stewardship is integrated into every aspect of our business strategy, and this is especially true as it relates to delivering independently-certified and measured, low emission natural gas to the market,” PureWest CEO Chris Valdez said. “We’re encouraged by the extensive opportunities for certified natural gas to enable the energy transition.”
PureWest Energy is a privately-held producer with 114,000 net acres in and around the Pinedale and Jonah fields in Wyoming’s Green River Basin. Its production has an industry-leading methane intensity of 0.05% as measured by Project Canary.
