Qatari Nakilat's profit up 6% in H1
Qatari LNG fleet operator Nakilat on August 2 reported a net profit of 775mn riyals ($206.6mn) for the first half of 2023, up 6.1% year/year owing to better cost management. Total revenue increased by 6.9% yr/yr to 2.29bn riyals.
Abdullah Al-Sulaiti, CEO of Nakilat, said that as the demand for clean energy shipping capacities increases globally, Nakilat is fully committed to meeting long-term energy transportation needs while enhancing its value proposition to clients and exploring new business opportunities.
Nakilat has a fleet of 74 vessels including 69 LNG carriers, four LPG carriers and one FSRU.
