Queensland Approves Arrow's LNG Project

Arrow Energy has received Queensland Government's approval for its planned liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant on Curtis Island off Gladstone, in central Queensland.

This means that the company now has state-level approval for three of the five components of the overall Arrow CSG-LNG project, namely the LNG plant and our pipelines from the Surat and Bowen basins.

The LNG plant project includes a sub-harbour gas pipeline tunnel from Gladstone to Port Curtis, jetties and loading facilities.

The liquefaction facility will produce up to 18 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) of LNG, and includes the phased construction of up to four trains or processing plants on its Curtis Island site. Stage 1 includes the construction of two trains of around 4mtpa of LNG each on the Arrow site behind Boatshed Point.
