Romania Insider: Romania, in talks to partner Trans Adriatic Pipeline
Romania is one of the three countries to connect to this pipe, together with Bulgaria and Hungary, which would be beneficial for consumers in Romania, as prices would be more competitive, according to the Ministry Delegate for Energy Răzvan Nicolescu, quoted by Mediafax.
The pipeline starts at the Greece – Turkey border, to be then connected to the cu TransAnatolian Pipeline. It will supply natural gas from the Shah Deniz II field in Azerbaijan, by going via Greece and Albania, only to reach Italy as final destination.
TAP was the competitor for the Nabucco gas pipeline.
