Rostec to This Month Sign Document to Build Gas Pipeline in Pakistan

Russia's Rostec will sign a document for the construction of a gas pipeline in Pakistan by the end of this month, company said Friday.

"Yes, we are preparing a document to be signed, according to preliminary estimates, in late July," a Rostec spokesman told RIA Novosti.

Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif met with Russia’s President Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), Sputnik reported.

Islamabad had filled in all paperwork on the pipeline construction and expected Russia to ink the deal shortly, Sharif was quoted as saying.

Last December, Rostec announced that its subsidiary, RT Global Resources, would be building oil and LNG pipelines and terminals in Pakistan with total cost of about $3 billion.
