Russia, China May Agree on Gas Supplies
Russia and China are likely to reach framework agreements on gas supplies by next month, Deputy Russian Prime Minister Arcady Dvorkovich, who is currently on a visit to Beijing, said in a statement.
Dvorkovich said that Gazprom and the Chinese partners are engaged in active talks on the terms of Russian gas supplies to China, and relevant agreements will have been worked out by the time the General Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party and China’s future President, Xi Jinping, pays a visit to Moscow in late March, Voice of Russia reported.
A new plant to liquefy gas is due to be built in Primorye, in the Russian Far East.
