Ukrinform: Russia lays out conditions for summer supplies of natural gas to Ukraine

Russian natural gas supplies to Ukraine in the second quarter did not require signing separate documents, and the corresponding decision of the Russian government is enough to provide a sufficient discount.

Russian Energy Minister Aleksandr Novak said this to reporters on Friday, according to TASS.

"There are no final accords on signing any agreement. We are ready to supply natural gas under the existing contract, dated 2009. Some questions do not require a separate signing," he said.

The Minister added that the relevant decision of the Russian government is sufficient for providing discount for the second quarter: "The government is ready to consider this issue if corresponding appeals are made by the party concerned."
