Russia's Gazprom seeks to liberalise domestic gas market - Kommersant
MOSCOW, April 20 (Reuters) - Russian energy giant Gazprom has asked the government to liberalise wholesale gas prices for domestic industrial consumers in some regions as it faces a steep decline in exports, Kommersant daily reported on Thursday.
State-owned Gazprom's gas prices on the domestic gas market are currently regulated by the government.

Kommersant said Gazprom's Deputy CEO Vitaly Markelov floated the idea at a meeting of the Russian State Council.
Gazprom did not immediately reply to a request for comment.
Domestic gas market liberalisation has been under discussion for years, but not been approved so far.
