Russia's Jan-May LNG exports up 6.3%, LSEG data shows
MOSCOW, June 11 (Reuters) - Russia's January-May exports of liquefied natural gas (LNG) increased by 6.3% from a year earlier to 13.6 million metric tons, LSEG data showed on Tuesday.
Europe accounted for 55% of the total, or 7.5 million tons.

Exports in May was broadly unchanged from April at 2.7 million tons, the data showed.
The Novatek-led Yamal LNG site in the Arctic sent 8.1 million tons of LNG in the first five months of the year, while Sakhalin-2, controlled by Gazprom, exported 4.5 million tons from the Pacific island.
Novatek at Yamal employed four conventional LNG carriers - the North Air, North Mountain, North Sky and North Way, Russian daily Kommersant reported citing data and analytics group Kpler.
LNG exports from Russia, unlike oil sales, are not subject to European sanctions over the conflict in Ukraine.
However, as part of a 14th package of sanctions on Russia, the European Union proposed banning re-loading services by EU facilities for trans-shipment of Russian LNG to third countries, which may inflate costs for LNG exports from Russia.
