Russia’s Zarubezhneft to Develop Vietnam Offshore Gas Block
Russia’s Zarubezhneft has won the tender for the development of gas block 12/11 offshore southern Vietnam. Application for participation in the tender was filed in 2011.
The first stage of work is designed for three years and includes conducting geological surveys, in which Zarubezhneft plans to drill three wells and 3D seismic surveys to a total area of 1,000 square kilometers.
Block 12/11 is located on the South Vietnamese shelf, 200 kms south of the White Tiger and Dragon fields developed by Zarubezhneft's joint venture with Vietnamese company PetroVietnam, Vietsovpetro.
